Dear Community, Audiences, Artists and Families.
Black Lives Matter.

It has taken some weeks to find the words to express our sorrow and anger over the incidents in the US. It painfully draws into focus the continued struggle against racism that has infected this country and so many others.

At the same time, we are so proud, of the greatness and power here, in Sweden’s Afro-Swedish community, and across the world to push back and say ’No More to Racism’. NBTS has taken this important moment to think, do some deep soul searching, and look our future.

All our artistic platforms coming in the autumn (live or digitalised based on the social distancing rules under the corona pandemic ) are, as always, dedicated to those who believe in the power of art to hold our history, strengthen our identity, bring diversity and complexity to African decedent persons and our allies.

Black Lives Matter. Black Stories Matter. Black Art Matters. For all of us.

See you in the autumn.
