In 2020, NBTS created Nubian Collective. Inspired by the musical, intellectual and spiritual discourse from the African diaspora from the 1940s-1970s, artists from across genres in Stockholm met through their expression of the arts – poetry, literature, music, movements and rituals, creating connection and history for a community to celebrate our heritage through the arts.
Black Ocean was first performed at Orionteatern on the 16th of September, created in 24 hours in response to the slaves lost at sea, at the bottom of the ocean.
